I love hotel and restaurant interiors. So often the food, service and decor can be so perfect but the one thing that is missing is the right lighting. Last week in Melbourne I found a restaurant that is doing it perfectly. Bistro Guillaume at Melbourne’s Crown Complex – pictured above. How beautiful is this cluster of lights?
Perhaps it’s coincidental but other favourites that have beautiful ambient lighting are also French inspired. Bambini Trust Wine Bar in Elizabeth Street, Sydney (right and below) and la compagnie on rue Joseph Vernet in Avignon, France. I wanted to pack this luxuriously luminous light (top right) in my bag and bring it home!
